DOCTOR PEST FUNGICIDAL TERMINATOR is an organic formulation of INSECTICIDAL SOAP + EUCALYPTUS OIL + NEEM OIL for application to vegetables, ornamentals, plants, fruit trees to control fungal and bacterial diseases.

DOCTOR PEST FUNGICIDAL TERMINATOR is an organic formulation of our INSECTICIDAL SOAP + EUCALYPTUS OIL + NEEM OIL. It's a safe, low toxicity and effective organic garden solution that controls a broad-spectrum range of fungicidal and bacterial diseases.

It works in three ways:

  • Disrupts and kills soft-bodied sap-sucking vector insects that are the cause of many fungal and bacterial infections.
  • Inherent fish oils smother eggs and larvae, and then help nurture plant biology to boost resilience, health and resistance to disease.
  • Insecticidal soap is blended with eucalyptus oil and neem oil which provides a proven natural fungicide with anti-microbial benefits that controls a broad spectrum range of bacteria and funguses.

Most commercial fungicides are one-dimensional ie: they have a single mode of action that target the fungus or bacterial disease - like applications of copper or lime sulphurs, etc. These work very well, but in excess can be toxic to plants or the soil.

Our solution is broad spectrum, multi-mode, multi-redundant, and non-residual (ie: does not linger on plants or the soil), bio-degradable, non-toxic, and safe to both users and the environment.

MODES OF ACTION

The INSECTICIDAL SOAP base is a standalone effective natural plant-based bio-insecticide that kills soft-bodied sap-sucking vector pests that are often the cause of fungal and bacterial infections in the first place!

HORTICULTURAL OIL is the other active ingredient in our insecticidal soap. This is a proven natural bio-nutrient that feeds and nurtures the beneficial leaf biota to enhance the plants own auto immune system. A healthy plant is much more likely to fight off and survive pest or fungal attacks, and this is the key to successful organic gardening - helping nature do its job. Also, for plant pathogens, oils help smother fungal growth and reduce spore germination on treated surfaces.

EUCALYPTUS OIL adds an antifungal boost to the spray and provides a proven and powerful tool in organic gardening, known for its ability to control pests, prevent diseases, and promote plant health. Its effectiveness stems from its primary component, eucalyptol, which has potent antimicrobial, antifungal, and insect-repellent properties.

NEEM OIL is widely recognised as an effective organic treatment for fungal infestations, as a plant tonic and pest repellent. It works by disrupting the life cycle of insects and reducing fungal spore germination on leaf surfaces.

HOW TO USE IT!

The spray is optimised to control most garden fungal diseases, but because sap-sucking insects are often the cause of diseases then this formulation also targets them, as well as the fungus. Coat the entire plant but be sure to focus especially on the tops and undersides of the plant’s leaves and on any visible insects. Diseases are also transported by wind, animals, humans, or may be resident in the soil.

1. Spray plants once every 5-7 days, or sooner when there is a heavy infestation of these insects or fungal infection. Once insects are controlled then reduce application to 7-10 days. It is also wise to do a small patch test on your plant to make sure it agrees with the spray; if you don’t see any damage after 24 hours, you are good to go. Look for signs like spotting, wrinkling, and browning on leaves. If you see any negative signs, discontinue the use of the product. Some plants are more sensitive than others.

2. Plant leaves should NOT be touching the soil, so remove these or place straw mulch on the ground to lift them clear.

3. Make sure you do a tidy-up of badly diseased leaves before spraying. Fungicides are mostly fungistatic - ie: stopping fungal growth rather than killing the pathogens - so don't expect the visible fungus to disappear. It should however stop its progression and ability to infect other parts.

4. Applying it early in the morning or late in the evening is recommended to prevent potential phytotoxicity, and also to avoid beneficial pollinators.
5. Once the fluid dries, its insecticidal properties are no longer active and it becomes far less likely to impact insects. This is why reapplication is sometimes recommended after rain, as the product may wash away and reduce effectiveness if it hasn’t had time to work while wet. For those concerned about non-target insects on the ground, dried insecticidal soap residue is less harmful and generally safe, as it loses its ability to affect insect cell membranes once it’s no longer in liquid form.

SUMMARY

Remember that vector insect pests are a likely source of both fungal and bacterial infections in your garden. DOCTOR PEST FUNGICIDAL TERMINATOR deals to these insects, as well as treating the infection. Disease can also arrive by wind, or in the soil so even if there are no signs of insect pests then still apply as a preventative at the first signs of infection. Spray every 5-7 days to target insect pest infestations and disease. When under control then reduce to about 7-10 days to control emergent fungal diseases.
For winter cleanup use the spray monthly, however for hard-scale insects this may not control them if they are resident on your trees. Use our WHITE BUTTERFLY TERMINATOR as this has added pyrethrum which is a natural bio-insecticide knock-down.
